Latest Poll: America Wants VICTORY!

Polls never lie they say. Liberals remind the rest of the country that to be sure. They throw out their polls from everything from how many Americans want the war to end to how many people believe global warming is a problem that the current administration refuses to address. They always bring up the numbers. They always bring up the statistics. I wonder then, why this poll isn't coming out in the news...?

57% - Finish the job. WIN the WAR! Victory in Iraq!

25% - Leave now! Turn our backs!

For a breakdown of the percentages...

Question 9: I support finishing the job in Iraq, that is, keeping the troops there until the Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security for its people.

57% Agree
41% Disagree

Question 12: Victory in Iraq, that is creating a young but stable democracy and reducing the threat of terrorism at home, is no longer possible for the U.S.

53% Disagree
43% Agree

Question 15: I don’t really care about what happens in Iraq after the U.S. leaves, I just want the troops brought home.

25% Agree
74% Disagree

This also comes on the heels of another new poll. A poll that not only reveals that more not only are Muslims more likely to become extremists but that there is a growing percentage of hate and disdain in the Muslim community for America.

But you know, I don't blame them one bit for the latter. Their hated is due to our American morals...or complete lack thereof. Indeed, the value of having morals in this country has gone completely out the window--and we cannot see where it has fallen too. America has been drowning in a morally collapsing world for years now, where promiscuity seems to reign supreme. And you know, what? For once,

They're right.

It makes it hard to correlate things when you switch up the agree/disagree statistics on me, and in this case actually hurt your case. At first glance it appeared that these statistics were contradictory, then I went back and checked and the second question has disagree first and agree second, in opposition to the other questions. True, I should have read closer, but it is helpful to keep agree and disagree in the same position for easy reading.

So what is the point of your last paragraph? Muslims are dangerous terrorists bent on forcing their morals on the United States and the point I disagree with them on is the specific set of morals they wish to impose. It seems the only place you and the Islamofacists disagree is whose particular brand of facism should win out in the end.

I would like to see the poll results after America get's a good education in the tactics it takes to defeat a guerilla insurgent force. Where can I see the rest of the questions? Rarely do I get to see a survey broken down question by question, and I'd like to read the whole thing.

THis poll should be printed like any other, but if it wasn't done on of the big survey companies the media just doesn't know about it, or care. One day of research for an article with a strict deadline doesn't give much time to go finding obscure surveys. Anyway, I'd like to read the whole thing, so if you've got the link laying around...

And a round about thank you to John for providing the motivation to get the link.

Hey! Spank is picked up by the Drudge Report, Daily Kos, Raising Kaine, Spark it Up!, The Ward View, and General Grievous' Dog.

These are all HIGHLY respected blogs in the poltical arena--both left and right.

You beat me to the link. Thanks.

Sorry Gonza, I have a life that revolves around other things besides these blogs...

Its "Gonzo" btw. Unless your feminizing it on purpose.

And thanks again for the motivation, I might write my own little interpretation of the survey, who knows.

Yeah, I came across most of those sites. I didn't question it's credibility but that is a quite interesting name :)

~Peace, Life, and Love~

Yes..and the acronym is even scarier...STD

But like the site says, "People ask, what do you hear when you 'Spank That Donkey'???"

Polls lie. All the time. Depending on where they are coming from, polls will always be different. There is no reality there.

If any of you have ever taken a stats course, you'd know that statistical information can be skewed to better suit the pollsters purposes all it takes is a few "trimmed means" and using the "median" instead of the "mean" thats just a couple examples. Anybody who reads polls should always take into consideration it may not be completely unbias.

"Polls lie. All the time..."

I love how that if the statistic had read

57% - Get our troops out!

25% - Finish the job. WIN the WAR! Victory in Iraq!

There would be no one saying that statistics are quite unreliable when it comes down to it and we "...should always take into consideration it may not be completely unbias."

If this is the case, why do Dems flaunt the low approval rating of our sitting President? Surely THOSE STATISTICS can only be taken with a grain of salt too.....right?

Nobody here can slack off and say, "I bet it's biased." WE have the link to the survey results themselves. Pick through and FIND THE BIAS. If its there to find. The only bias people can assume here is that the sample was skewed, other than that people should have SPECIFIC examples of bias.

You can't call bias on the polls when they don't agree with you and then completely ignore that the poll is sitting right in front of you! When given the chance you should back your shit up.

I have been picking through, and I found a few questions that don't sit right with me, but I am not sure how seriously to take them yet.

Exactly RIGHT!!!! Not all liberals/dems are statistic morons. I also do not agree with your analysis of me (personally) that if the stats would have been the other way around "There would be no one saying that statistics are quite unreliable when it comes down to it"
Stats ARE UNRELIABLE When it comes Down to it. Period. Any open-minded person SHOULD know this and if you happen to be someone unaware of this, then please do your homework or take a stats course.

"I also do not agree with your analysis of me (personally)..."

I haven't defamed you in anyway. Have I broken down your arguments..or tried to? Yes. I'm not into the deal with being rude to people. Will I challenge them? Will I try to engage them in debate? Yes on both accounts. But it stops there.

It's ok, I'm not upset about anything but being a liberal/democrat and your blatant assumption that "noone would have said anything" (refering to dems) is what I was refering to. I know you were not technically attacking me personally it was a generalization.

Well would anyone have said anything?
