Theres nothing better then chilling outside with your friends and sucking on a popsicle. Finding the perfect hide and go seek spot, making leaf sandwiches while playing house, and shouting TAG YOUR IT then running off laughing.
I miss laughing like I did when I was a kid. Whatever happened to hide and go seek and when did it become such a little kid game? I have always loved that game and even when I play it with my little brother I am still a master. Somedays I dont want to have to be responsible and I dont want to have a million things to do in a day. And NOOOO MOM I DONT WANT TO EAT MY GREEN BEANS THEY'RE UCKY! I want my only problems to have to be green beans and mud on my jeans. I want to ride my bike because I love it not because I want to lose weight before spring break. I want to run and play outside with my friends, no alcohol or drugs involved. I want to completely cut everything that is adult and responsible out of my life and go run around in the sprinkler.
Before I completely lose my childhood I want to go back just for a day. Just one day and live again. I loved being a kid and all my fondest memories are from when I was a child. They say that everything is better when you get older. You can drive and go to clubs, drink beer and smoke cigarettes. None of that is good. I dont even like most of that stuff. When you're a kid you ALWAYS have something to do. You are always doing things you want to do.

Isn't it funny how when we are kids, we just seem to want to grow up faster but when we finally start to "grow up" we wish to be that kid again? The grass always seems greener on the other side.

Unfortunately everyone has to take on more responsibilities as they grow older. But that in no way means that you have to completely give up having fun or throwing your cares away (even if its only for a little while). Why not take the time to enjoy life "little kid style" once a day?
My definition of a mature adult is someone who knows when its ok to be silly and immature. So break out the coloring books, play a game of hide-and-go-seek, and eat a popsicle....just don't forget to pay the bills.
