Banned Book Winners

progressive u team's picture

After a month and a half of entries for the Banned Books Contest, and nearly two weeks of judging, we have our winners!

As promised, every person who submitted a review was awarded 100 points per review. Each that was chosen for publication was awarded an additional 150 points per review. All these points have been added to your point totals.

Twenty-five total submissions were made, and most will be published. Congratulations to the following individuals, who will have their review(s) published in the coming weeks: nobscricket, Poison_Ivy, kablock, ediblewoman, jesus_zealot, LeslieQ, TomorrowToday, AmericanGirlinChina, Nicole_CoachellaV_90, orochigenocide, sawaboof, and Shimmeringstar. Look for those reviews!

And of course, we awarded five of these individuals books for their marvelous reviews. They were chosen by random, quite literally by drawing names out of a hat (well, a cup, but all the same...). So, another congratulations to ediblewoman, sawaboof, AmericanGirlinChina, Poison_Ivy, and Shimmeringstar.

But, just because the contest is over doesn't mean that you don't have another chance. With our Work Study program, you can sign up to write for the column, and will be given special benefits (mostly points) if your article is selected for publication in our column. And, of course, if it is not, you are free to post it in your own blog.

Best of luck to everyone in these last few weeks of the contest.

Thanks! I wish I would have written more. I had read most of the books on the list, but forgot what some of them were about.

Yay! I can't believe I was chosen since I thought I wrote my entry haphazardly. It's quite lengthy. I wish I could've written one on Bless Me, Ultima. :O

Mine were thrown together as well. Whenever I saw that I was chosen, it really made me wish that I would have tried a little harder.
