Blogging in class? When do you blog?

I would like to say hello to every one of the bloggers on this site. This is my first entry so it will comprise of a little bio about myself. I basically joined to try “win” the scholarship offered by progressiveU. I found this information on fastweb.com incase anyone was interested in finding other scholarships. My name is Mike and I reside in Monmouth County, New Jersey. I will be moving to San Diego, California to finish my degree in Marketing. This move needs funding; therefore I am applying to as many scholarships as I possibly can. From my recent college years I have obtained two Associate’s degrees, one in Broadcasting and the other in Public Relations. By the title you can see I am actually writing while I am in class, it is the last day of my Community College experience and since there is no test I have plenty of time to blog. You do not hold my attention though, I am checking the surf report and looking at the weather forecast because I want the warm weather now that summer vacation has begun. Hopefully the title of this entry was enough to grasp your attention and to gain a response as to when people decide to blog. Give me your feedback and if you include any information about what inspires your blogs; boredom, news, music? If anyone has guidelines on what to write about on here to captivate an audience the recommendations would be greatly appreciated, this may just be to gain scholarship money but I do want to have fund with my posts. Hope to read your responses soon.
Mike

Just a note, but if you joined recently, you aren't eligible for the current scholarship competition. The deadline to enter for the currently ongoing contest was April 15. BUT! You will be able to compete in the fall competition (which typically begins in September) so blogging here now can be beneficial. It'll give you time to figure out how everything works and to begin building a readership base (and those are vital to winning!)

Welcome to Progressive u. The only thing I can say is write about what moves you. Don't write about what you think people will like to hear because sometimes you will end up thinking too hard and not get any comments. Certain issues move certain people so write about what ever comes to your head. All that I ask is if you comment on someones blog, rate it too. What's the point in leaving a comment without a rating. Well I gave you a 4. Every blog I comment on I rate. Good luck with the other scholarships and this one too. If you need help or want to know something, I will happily tell you.
