So, the contest ends tonight. I wonder how many of us are relieved, how many are feeling the pressure and trying to add in those few extra blogs, how many are trying to squeeze every last point by replying to every comment on every blog, and how many of us are just ready for the contest to be done with.
But, what I am wondering most is where every one is headed after the contest?
How many people plan on continuing on with this blogging site after the contest is over, and how many will be taking a break from the world of competitive blogging until the next contest starts. Does anyone other than myself plan to stick around and continue to write blogs?
My self, well, the quantity of my blogs might go down. This time of year is always hard for me simply because of how far apart my family is from each other, my own grades in school. I'm in a fight right now with one of my instructors who is trying to give me a 98 for a grade when I clearly deserve a 100. Petty, maybe, but it will bring down my GPA and I just can't have that :)
But what about every one else? Shall I continue looking for blogs and comments, or shall we say "see you next time". How many contestants from this contest can I expect to see in the next contest (even if you are taking a break in-between)? And how many are simply not going to enter into the next contest?

I know my participation will go down dramatically, but not by choice. Finals, holidays, and so on. I will be back after the first of the year. This site is fun and I have learned ALOT about myself. Good luck and if I haven't told you before- I really enjoy your blogs.

So far as I know the site will continue to be up and operating. After the Spring contest ended last year participation plummeted, but the site was still up and going and still listed. But on average instead of logging on and seeing "30 users and 1600 guests" there were "3 users and 800 guests" - which made loading times so much more pleasant...
But it was very hard to get a lot of feedback on some blogs :)

I probably won't be back. If I win or not. If I do win, I may come around once in a while and post something, but I highly doubt it. If I don't-I might be back for the next contest, but I highly doubt it. HIGHLY doubt it.

As far as name-calling, I think that was the extent of it, was the closed-minded remark - so don't even worry about that. It's not like that was the first time someone's thought that about me; and it probably won't be the last. LOL.

Now this is progression in the making!! Two people who started out on the wrong foot, but managed to realize that not everyone is going to have the same opinions. Wow-- I even saw an apology come out of all of this-- is this the first in ProU history?? Maybe??

I'll even be nice first, but it takes two to be nice to each other. Being nice to someone who won't be back is a waste of time.
I'm sure most of us will still be makeing our daily blogs. Contest or no contest, we still like to have the ability to express our thoughts.
I think you are probably right - many of us will stick around just to be able to write and vent our thoughts out constructively to be seen by all.
