When you think of the word love what do you think about? Do you think about your girlfriend/boyfriend? I know that when i think of the word love i think of the realtionship that i have with my boyfriend Matt. I know that i would do anything for him and he would do the same for me. We don't have a probleming loving each other but our families have a problem allowing us to love each other. When i say problems i'm not talking about they wont allow us to date they do. Its the fact that we have been dating for 9 months and they don't think that at our age we know what love is. I know what my heart feels for Matt. So is it really the families place to say that a couple loves each other? Does early society tell them that you have to be a certain age to be inlove? Does our society today tells us its ok to be inlove at whatever age u fall inlove at? Will this ever change? Do you follow your heart or go by the rules of your family?

Only you truly know how you feel, so go with your heart/gut/head. a mix of those three and you'll figure out what is right for you. families think they know what is best for you, but they really don't only you know what is best for you. I'm not really in the same position, but I have been with Abe for a year, and about 3 months ago i decided that where we live sucks and i want to go to college, and he "made the big gesture" (if you've seen what a girl wants) and he told me that he would give up everything to move to a place that he has never been just to be with me. (awww) but just tell your families to screw off because you're going to be with and feel however you damn well please about whoever you damn well please.

I agree with Jenn up there^. If you feel like you are in love with him then you probably are. Nobody else can tell you how you feel, only you know whats in your heart.
Well, you can love one guy one day and the next hate him. The strongest love there is (to me) Is Parent and Child love. It will never fade. However, many people confuse "Lust" to "love" And depending on your age, perhaps your parents want to stop you from getting hurt. I mean I think older people have a better grasp of love. Can you compare a 7 year old's love to a 18 year old, or a 32 year old? No. Is it love, or want? If it is love than I hope you the best, but remember to set limits. If he loves you, he will not hurt you, hit you, or betray you. So I wish you the best.
