when everything is going right and u can always see the light\
see the light of day and you have no need to pray
because life is at its best.
what about when things arent going so good
and u wish a person would
step to you the wrong way because your having a bad day.
what do we call that?
can we call that life because its not supposed to be fair anyway
instead of actin like the world is supoosed to bend over and kiss our A
S-S we should progress and push forward nevertheless
i understand how it feels to just always be left.
i've been left in the cold, left in the dark
i had to force myself to be bold, so my presence could give off a spark.

must i fall to the ground and pray to my savior who i think isnt even listening.
why waste my time trying to work and get a degree
because when i get denied, hurt, life wont be checkin' for me
life wont be tryna help me, life wont be paying any attention to me.
so why bother.
not saying that beecause im black there is no way to succeed
but its a struggle in the fight of whats a need and whats greed.
so when is life at its best?
