The American philosophy of capitalism is a reformed "survival of the fittest" "may the best man win" kind of situation.
So, using all of your resources: money, family, friends, blood sweat and tears; is the theme of our market.
So, explain to me why synergy is illegal. When I say synergy, I mean... corporations using all of their resources. That means using sister companies, utilizing the market they have created. Just because Mom n' Pop stores don't have those resources, it suddenly becomes illegal to have an advantage? I don't understand that. After all, it is the "American Way," isn't it?
So explain to me why using all of ones resources is suddenly unconstitutional to the big bears out there. I understand that it is "messing with the market" but since when has cooperation been illegal in this country? If one of your friends needed help, would you rescue them? It is the same principle.
So answer my question. The American market is all about an edge. It's all about gigantic corporations of huge proportions who are teaching one man to do the job of seven. Corporations constantly upping the quota to impossible standards and laying off more of their hard workers.
Since when has that been considered okay? Since when has the profit to our country been more important that the well being of its citizens? Synergy between huge corporations may not be right. But then again, if there's no edification, no helping hand, no nothing, where are the American people left? This is not a call to communism. It's a call for understanding.

I guess I don't understand what you're asking. At first I thought you were suggesting that there should be less market regulation -- "let the invisible hand take care of everything" type of argument. But the last two paragraphs threw me for a loop. Which side are you taking?
I look at business and markets like this: Markets are like games. Very important games, but games, nonetheless. Games and sports need rules to keep them fair and safe. Sure, we could allow football players to take whatever steroids they want, make dangerous tackles with no penalties, and fire all referees because they just get in the way with pesky rules. But then it would be more like a gang brawl than a sport, right?
The same goes for markets. Sure, you want competition, but you need rules and limitations.
Can you give some more specific examples of what you're concerned about?
I guess what I would like to know is since when has America been about having a grey area? Americans focus on black and white, for or against, right or wrong. That's what I am trying to understand. We reformed democracy to fit in with our ideals without clarifying a mission.

I think that synergy, when checked, can be great for capitalism (its actually based on the basic tenets of capitalism). This issue also ties in with Free Trade, which I greatly support. By using our resources, we can better our economy which will eventually lead to bettering other countries' economies.
