I am going to have to agree with another blogger on here about Anna Nicole....WHO CARES? The answer is sadly that a lot of people do. I think it's sad that people will stick glued to the television over a Porn star, but seem to forget about the men and woman over in Iraq laying down there lives for us. Sure, the news might show a short clip of a young man that died while in Combat, but it's usually in their local hometown area. Almost like an after thought, and long enough to make it a negative thing about the war. I am not saying that I agree or disagree with the War in Iraq, but I do know that I stand behind those men and woman over there. My husband is currently serving in the United States Air Force and just returned about two months ago from a six month tour in Iraq and I think the worst thing for them over there is to see is their OWN country focusing on a topic such as Anna Nicole Smith. What does that say to our servicemen over there? So lets stop enjoying the unimportant topics like which celebrity is dating who, the divorces and break ups of different celebrities, gossip, and rumors, and start focusing our attention on more important topics and issues in our Country right now.

Well spoken! There is far too much attention paid to American celebrities these days. They don't deserve it and it distracts people from the real issues of the day. If we lose ourselves in the fluff, we won't notice the badness everywhere else.
(if you can't see the fnords they won't eat you)
