Recycle

So, to get you started on a new ‘greener’ you, I will start with an easy change to make. Recycle everything! This should be a pretty obvious one, and you should be doing it anyway. Depending on what state you live in, there are many different things required to be recycled. I am in Wisconsin, Waukesha County to be specific. So I have a blue bin that I fill up with my glass, paper, cardboard and plastics #1 and #2. Wait, What? Only #1 &# 2? Yep, Waukesha County doesn’t take 3-7! Odd, because most of the counties around here do… huh there is no market for it in this area…
Anyway, don’t throw anything in the trash! Think about everything first. Example, receipts. Your habit might be to just throw it away, but think about every single receipt you receive this year… that adds up to a lot of paper! Empty out a shampoo bottle, your reaction might be to just throw it in the garbage can in the bathroom. WAIT!! Recycle it! You don't need to wash the bottle with your dishes or anything, just rince it a little, and throw it in the bin! Basically the tip for today is to think about everything that you throw away.

It's so easy to forget all of the little things we can do to help the environment! So many people want the government to take immediate action to help preserve, but seem so unwilling to make changes in their own daily lives. Recycling is so easy and everyone should really think about what they do with their wastes!

It is surprising how little effort it takes to throw something in the recycling bin rather than the trash can, and yet some people just can't seem to get it right. It's a sad day when our country has become to lazy to want to make a better world.
