So i was watching a little National Geographic thing on the internet about what's going to happen to the world when the temperature of the Earth rises by eight degrees Celsius. To be honest, it had both its good and its bad sides, and many of the good sides i had not seen before. The good side is that life will go on. The down side is that although life will go on, many will die and many many more will be displaced. However, NG did say that once barren ice lands will become fertile agricultural spots and once frozen oceanside beaches will become tourist hot spots like the beaches of the Carribean. Here's more bad: much or all of the world's even mildly low level areas will be underwater, since the sea level will rise by 80 feet. El Nino grade hurricanes will become quite commonplace, as will other natural disasters, and what happens in the end will pretty much be the greatest continental reorientation since the break-up of Pangaea.
My idea: maybe the human race is going too far awry and the Earth is going through a ritual cleaning process. Maybe some people will have to go and life will be hard for a while, but maybe we will have learned our lesson and the Earth will be able to slowly regenerate. Perhaps Shiva was right all along. The world will NOT END. It is just changing and some people might not make it through. This is just a new, possibly fleeting theory of mine, so tell me what you think about it, and feel free to share your own theory of global warming.
