Sex Slaves

Sunday May 7, 2006

Many people here have heard the horror stories about women, men and even children being made to be sex slaves. They are married when unwanted and sold like food. According to CNN news six women from
North Korea have fled to the
United States. These 6 women were sex slaves.

The sad thing, this is a growing epidemic. My fellow bloggers who watch lifetime may have seen the movie Human Trafficking which gave a brutally honest look into the world of sex slaves.

It is one thing to be into a consensual 24/7 D/S relationship but to be forced into it that is totally different.

THIS IS A SAD TOPIC BUT IGNORING IT IS NOT GOING TO MAKE IT GO AWAY. I WAS WATHCING MONTEL THE OTHER DAY. HE HAD A SHOW ON THIS. IT IS SOO SAD. I DONT KNOW WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT THIS SITUATION BUT I AM AWARE THAT IT DOES HAPPEN AND IT SICKENS ME!

Thank you for your comment. I appreciate it very much. Thank you for also being aware of the subject :)

Want an education some day? Some of these sites are pornographic in nature, but go to almost any escort agency's website and look at where most of their "agents" come from. You'll notice quickly that almost all of them specializing in Caucasian women (who are usually the most demanded and thus work for more "prestigious" escort agencies) come from Eastern Europe and/or former Soviet bloc countries. Some of them are even robbed of their names and given more Westernized ones. Because Russian is my major and I study Czech and Georgian as well--all countries whose women have reputations for beauty in the West; hell, my girlfriend is Georgian so I can attest to that--I've heard horror stories of what happens to women who try to apply for work in the west and end up at the mercy of the mafia working in brothels. It's scary. There's a myth that in places like Amsterdam where prostitution is legal that makes it okay. Yeah, the police may not bother you, but it doesn't necessarily mean those girls are volunteers. A lot of those girls were tricked to go there and can't get out. Slavery is illegal on paper, but it doesn't mean people wont pay top dollar for another human being for whatever reasons and that they're aren't plenty of people willing to exploit this fact.

That is sad... spreading awareness is good

i denfinatly agree that human trafficking is a horiffying and widely underpublized epedemic but lifetime may not be the most convincing source for your arguement. (just a suggestion to inprove you credibility to those more skeptical than I am on this topic) thank you for spreading awareness about this tradigy.

I haven't seen Human Trafficking, but I think I should watch it. About sex slaves I would like to point out that usually girls from Asian countries (like Thailand, for example) or from poor countries (Moldavia for instance) are tricked by proxenets who say they offer good jobs abroad, and then oblige the girls to become prostitutes and sex slaves. This is happening at a very large scale, and there is no solution ahead.
