What do you guys think about the USA economy?
The US dollar is worth only .93 Canadian now. This low US dollar sucks for everyone, in the short term it's just same old high prices in Canada and less tourists but in the long term the US and Canada will trade less and less with each other which is bad for both countries, we’re both each other’s top importers/exporters.
Look at the deficits. And the wars weren’t the only sources to cause this. The USA had huge debts even before the wars, I mean the bush administration has damaged it so much, that it's just beyond words. We used to be the world’s superpower, everyone adored us, wanted to trade with us, wanted to be like us, now not only is our economy falling to dust but our international reputation is ruined, everyone sees us as overweight lazy idiots.
Now don't get me wrong this isn't all the Bush administration’s fault; ever since Nixon and the outsourcing of jobs we've been going downhill, then Reagan pushed us down further. Somehow we managed to scrape along when Bill Clinton was president despite all the inherited external debt, but now, it's just disgusting how a country more powerful than even the Roman Empire by comparison can get it‘s economy destroyed, so fast, by such a small group of people all so a few gigantic corporations can get even richer.
Not caring about global warming affecting our children is one thing, but not caring about the well being of the country your children live in is something I didn't even know a soul less elite could do.

That phrase seems to imply you either do not know what a soul is, or do not believe souls exist.
A variation in the rate of exchange between two currencies does not reduce trade it just changes the costs involved. If the dollar drops then US exports become cheaper to people that wish to buy them in countries with stronger currencies. This INCREASES exports from the US. It also makes imported goods more expensive relative to those made in the US.
A Fact is Always Better Than an Ideal.
