Doesn't Anybody Check their E-Mail, Anymore?

Tagged:  •    •

Really, doesn't anybody check their e-mail, anymore? Because why I brought this up is because there has been many instances where I would e-mail someone and they would never e-mail me back; therefore, I have many examples of this, just in case you don't understand what I'm talking about. First of all last year, I went to my college's career services department to see if someone could help me fix my resume and cover letter and I found someone who would; therefore, that person said that she would look over it. Then later that night, she e-mailed me asking me if I could come talk to her about my resume and cover letter. But, I couldn't because I couldn't afford to take the bus; so, I e-mailed her back telling her that I can't come talk to her because I couldn't afford to take the bus and asking her if I could call her to discuss my resume and cover letter over the phone and she never e-mailed me back. Also one time this month, I e-mailed my web design instructor to see if she could help me fix my resume and cover letter; then, the same thing happened again- she e-mailed me to ask me if I could come talk to her about it, even though I can't because I can't afford to take the bus. So, I did the same thing again- I e-mailed her back telling her that I can't come talk to her because I couldn't afford to take the bus and asking her if I could call her to discuss my resume and cover letter over the phone; again, she never e-mailed me back.
So, doesn't anybody check their e-mail, anymore?

Sure I check my email all the time but I do have to try and keep up with all the posts on here at the same time.

facebook/myspace have both taken over e-mail... it's sad. messages are usually really abrupt on there, with no thought put into it. from snail mail to cell phone to email to facebook... what's next?
