I want a good FREE education!

My educational system, in my eyes, have failed me! I can not spell, write properly and/or use punctuation. I know this stuff falls back on me. I should ahve studied and stuff but how can I what was never taught and reaffirmed? Thank Goodness i love to read so I learned some stuff but look at the poor souls who cant even read. Where is the educational system?

My school, everyday we are told you cant do that...there is no money. That is disheartneing to say the least. It sucks to have ambition, and want to learn to have someone tell you repeatedly know we have no money. We are not taught like other schools. Our own superintendent calls us underpriveldged. Money is squandered on things. i can honestly say that half of my school can spell and say every curse word in the dictionary or twist what you say to mean something dirty, but cant pick up a 400 page book and read it and tell you about it. that is sad. Where is the education?

I seriously want an education, but it is too late for me. I want to learn English, Latin, and all this otehr stuff. the education that i will recieve I have to pay for myself. your first year of college should be free to help you get grounded and on your feet. Now i am rambling so i will close. Over and Out!

I WANT A FREE EDUCATION!

If you want an education, you can't count on other people to hand it to you. You're an adult. Do it yourself.

I did not study English in school. By 'English' I mean speaking and reading and writing English. Part of my English education I received from my parents, but once I learned from them to read and write, I took care of the rest. If I want to know something, I go out and learn it, I don't whine about my school not teaching it to me.

Take responsibility for yourself. Why should you get a free education? You're an adult, you can work. Colleges cost a great deal of money, so why should people get in for free?

If you cannot spell or use punctuation, sorry, but at this age it's your fault. I wouldn't blame you if you were 10, but you're not. You're old enough to take responsibility and learn what you want to learn. There's no lack of places to learn how to spell, seriously.

I would not be on this site trying for a scholarship if i thought college was free. i am talking about high school.
I am saying that the educational system is not what it used to be. Something is lacking.

any college student should have to work to make ends meet. Of course, I'm not foolish enough to believe that it isn't the reality of things, but I don't think it should have to be that way.

Then I guess there's no need for public school, private school, higher education, nor homeschooling. I understand your point, but I completely understand what the OP is saying. Our school system really is failing us (I'm in college BTW).

Earn scholarships and work hard, then you can go to college free your first year.

It's pretty unlikely that someone would get to go to a quality college only on scholarship money.

I go to a quality college that doesn't cost a lot of money, and I make enough (in scholarships) to pay for my tuition and fees, and thus only have to pay for part of my room and board. Someone could live with their parents and nearly eliminate that cost.
