Trivialities of our Educational System

Another school shooting, taking place at Northern Illinois University. One John Giovanni, shot at several students, killing four on the scene, including killing himself afterwards, while his other victims died at their arrival to the hospital. So many school shootings, and yet, the precautions taken after by the school county boards and school districts, still don't prevent these terrible accounts to cease. Whose fault is it then? The teachers....for not noticing "the warning signs" ; and what exactly are the warning signs? So what if a student is intrinsic, and keeps to themselves, and writes brudy sorrowful thongs in a slam book, and may be characterized as morose and a loner, does that necisserily mean that they are automatically going to be suspects to start violence? Students ridicule eachother everyday, and no one does anything about it. But then again. no matter what anyone does, whether standing up for an individual who is being bullied, or just ignoring that it is happening, in the end, nothing can be done. Bullying is just a part of growing up. It's not the high point in anyone's life, but it happens, and will always happen. I mean, high school is just 700 daysof the 22000 or so that the average person will live. I think what needs to happen is for the students to realize that when they say their small little insulting remarks, they are hurting another person. Since bullying and ridicule happens to everyone, whether or not an individual realizes it, the fact of the matter is, to not focus so much of their attention on what is being said about them. I mean, who cares, really? You just deal, do what you can to fight back without being violent, and move on; not taking everything to extremes, and going into a rampage shooting, taking the lives of students who may have ridiculed you, but at the same time, innocent people. In the end, its just pointless. I don't understand my generation.
