On Palestine and copsoldiers

ok, this isn't really a big thing from the news, but its always an issue when it does come up... why does Palestine or more likely, simply Hamas, keep firing missiles into Isreal that kill 1 to 2 people, get all pumped off that, and then wait for Isreal to jump the border and bust some heads? last raid, about what, 72 people were killed? for the price of 2? this must be some kind of wholesale Costco war or something. why doesn't Hamas give in, sign the peace talks and recognize Isreal as existing?

i do understand the whole thing about how Isreal stole Palestinian homeland, and yes that sucks, especially since there are so many much lager countries that we could have carved a hole out of for our Jewish friends. however, now that a large hunk of Palestine has been given over to Isreal, the whole thing is pretty much out of our hands. Israel is so militaristic and defense ready that they have defended themselves against the whole middle east at least twice. and i admire the "don't step on me" attitudes they have with people that mess with them. so really, even if we did decide to go against Isreal, and even if we attacked them, there is a chance that they would win. especially given how well the military has given far too much heart to what it does.

Next thought: the military is a force devoted to fighting, conquering and killing. not police action. if we want police action. we are going to have to train personnel especially for that job. really. Because as far as i know, (or am told) the battle is over and we are now policing. the battle was over years ago. we might as well retrain all of our soldiers as cops. also, you know soldiers do not belong in Iraq if they go to trail and get sentenced with corporal punishment for killing an Iraqi. the way the "terrorist" brigades dress, they look just like people. so if one minute a guy is shooting up your platoon and the next minute he is on the ground begging you for mercy and you shoot him anyway because he just tried to do the same to you...... is a that a capital crime? if so, then that sure is something. bottom line, we are not using our soldiers as soldiers, so get them out of Iraq!

Bottom line, send newly trained "police action" troops to Iraq and bring the real soldiers out since we are not using them for what they are for, and go Isreal, until they really mess up and i have to pull my support. some advice for Hamas: please, just attend the peace talks, and stop yelling jihad. thank you.
