I don't know about the rest of you, but I am already sick and tired of all of the college essays and applications that I have been doing. Last year I already was worn out from the studying for the SAT and SAT II and ACT, and that was just the tip of this iceberg. Now we use those scores to rally points for ourselves from these colleges that we really want to get into, but might not because of those brilliant people that can score perfect scores on the SAT and write those wicked essays that make the admissions people want them. I am just an average person and I don't stand out in many ways, so writing these essays are especially hard because I am trying to make these averages qualities I have seem like superpowers just so I can get accepted somewhere. My grades aren't amazing, my SAT scores aren't amazing, not many extracurriculars, I have no easy in points and I am seriously stressing. I have rewritten my personal statements at least 20 times and they still aren't good enough to get me in. I want to fastfoward past this whole process and just see where I end up getting into.

I had the same problem. But I guess I'm lucky since my writing is above standard. My SATs weren't so hot, but at least I did extra activities than most. Now, I do not want you to get discouraged. College applications might be scary and you might be scared of rejections. But we all went through it and we all got through. Therefore, don't stress too much. It's pretty easy to get in to schools. lol At least, I didn't have to do that much work since I knew where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do. I got into all of the colleges I applied. I'm not even that great. As a last weapon, ask for an interview. Your personality will surely stand out. I believe you can do it. So...you should believe in yourself too. You will only do this once.
