So, I was thinking about this website, and what the purpose of it. And yeah, I asked myself why blog about the news and other sorts of stuff. I came to a conclusion that, this is a really good idea. Especially for myself, since I'm generally pretty busy with classwork and take a few minutes here and there to check out things online in the middle of doing outside of class assignments. Sadly, I end up on Facebook more often than CNN or any other news websites - meaning that, yes, I think knowing what's going on with all my friends is more important than what's going on worldwide. Tis a very sad fact.
I don't watch the news. Ever. I don't watch TV. Generally, it just depresses me, the news, I hate to hear about all the bad stuff that's going on. Yet, I feel inadequate when one of my friends brings up some news story that everyone should be concerned about. Sure, they may have more time on their hands to stay ahead with the current news, but I figure that I can to... just every other time that I want to go on Facebook, I should check out the recent headlines. So, right now, by signing up for this website, and typing this blog, I'm going to make it a goal to do so, to keep up with current news, and be able to talk about it with other people.
