In the beginning...

I wanted to introduce myself to everybody on the ProgressiveU.org website.

My name is Kyle. Currently, I am living in Los Angeles; however, soon, as in a couple of months, I will be moving myself to Miami. I was accepted to a school out there, so I felt it would be best if I went out there too.

Living in Los Angeles has been quite the learning experience for me. I've learned that I really love my home town of Olathe, Kansas. Though to many others it is in the heart of "fly-over country." To me, it is one of the best kept secrets in America. Out here, just walking down the street, you risk getting mugged, being confronted by a homeless schizophrenic, being ignored by the general public, and much more. In Kansas, however, the biggest risk
you run walking down the street is having to have a polite conversation with somebody you don't really know too well.

But, of course, I'm not moving back to Kansas, I'm moving to Miami, where the beer flows like wine and the women flock like the seagulls of Capistrano (or is that Aspen, I always get confused). I'm actually fairly curious about what living in Miami might be like. I've already visited and it seems to be completely different from Los Angeles, and Lord knows I'm ready for the change.

Anyways, that's about it for me now.

P.S. Kudos to anybody who can not only catch the movie reference, but also know where its from. In fact, I declare a contest in which the first person who is able to guess correctly will get the grand prize of being the person who is able to guess correctly first. (It does make sense. Trust me, I reread it a few times to make sure.)
