Except for Teenage boys. Seriously though, how many times have you asked yourself what is this world coming too, what is wrong with people, or just simple why? in regards to something screwed up someone else got themselves into...I know i am always asking myself these things and i dont think i am better then every one...just most;) The problem can be traced back to lame breakfasts and no family dinner...what no family dinner? I dont mean people should have tv dinners in front of the TV together. I mean good old fashioned home cooked meals that had real thought put into them as well as flavor eaten while sitting (yes sitting) at a dinning table while talking/venting about the day and getting to listen o each other and know the family. it seems like people put family at the end of a ten foot pole and spin it to make sure everyone does what on the agenda and there is no down time for any thing fun. Let me give a hypothetical real life situation...little johny big ears has a bad time with school all the other dorky children make fun of his big...feet that he always trips over... this upsets little johny big ears to no and and the teasing is only made worse by his tears and he can not concentrate on his school on the lectures because of the comments and homework only reminds him of the days giant foot jokes...at dinner (which is a healthy growing boy meal with brocoli and cheese and bbq chicken and mash potatoes) he tell big daddy normal size ears hunter man about the day and how it made him feel and his mom (yeah she is there too) tells little john some bit of wisdom and a coping device and reminds little johny that big daddy use to have big feet too (yes she has pictures)and that he grew into them by eating good meals like they had that night...all in all the family dinner made johny feel better and the next day at school when the kids start making fun of his big feet he tells them better to kick them with and him and the stupid kids live in harmony happily ever after ...of course the alternate ending is he eats some half cooked mac and cheese he made his self while watching the news and comes up with this great idea of just using big daddy's shot gun at school
ok okay i guess maybe its not that cut and dry but having dinner together does give parents an opportunity to defuse anything that might be arising as well as create for fibers and respect with their children...the only way this could be bad is if someone is an alcoholic and family dinner talks end in ingnoring loud fights that are incoherant and obtuse...so people give dinner a try and see if it helps family life and life in general
