As of today, Friday, May 6, Hilary Clinton plans on endorsing campaign candidate Barack Obama. Is Clinton trying to somwhat apologize for her statements in the past or does she truly have a chance at becoming the next democratic Vice President? As a young voter in today's society I believe that the only way that Obama can claim a political victory over Republican candidate McCain is with Clinton as his Vice President. Many people state that America is not ready for a woman or African American to be President. But we shall ask ourselves, have we given them the chance they deserve? Or have we formed a bias way of thinking that only allows us to be negative towards these two candidates? As the land of the free we as a country need to put our past behind us and look forward towards the future. Only one candidate will win the election and that candidate only will make the choices for our country. What candidate will you choose to make your decisions about health care, war, and education? Whether you choose Republican John McCain or Democrat Barack Obama remember to keep in mind that the past is the past and the future is now, and it is the future that lies in the hands of us, American citizens.
America and the New Announced Election

I believe that America is ready for a woman or minority president.
However, that does not mean that we need to elect Obama.
To vote for someone, based on their race, as a sort of 'proof' that one isn't racist only shows that one is basing things on race.... which is racist.
Same applies to gender.
I refuse to support Obama or Hillary because one is a marxist with far too many ties to corruption and rabidly anti-american racist folks, and the other is a Socialist who believes that she was entitled to the Presidency.
If only JC Watts was running. THAT'D put a wrench in the plans of the people who say that unless one votes for Obama they're a bigot.
I certainly agree that to vote for someone to prove that you are not racist is actually racist. There are also many people throughout the country who are stuck on old beliefs and believe that all people are the same. Many do not listen to the ideas and thoughts of all candidates they just assume based on their race, gender, and age. As a young voter I plan to take all ideas into consideration and leave all genetic issues out. My goal for this blog was to try to convince atleast one American to look deeper into our future Presidents. Don't think about their age, sex, or race. Think about their plans and thoughts on recontructing the issues of our country.
I really hope Obama does not take her as VP running mate, after all the shit from she's thrown at Obama. Plus I just don't trust her. I agree with you and Lance as far as race and gender are concerned. I just got lucky with Obama. He's the person with whom I most agree, and on top of it he's black. I think many people don't realize how much the possibility of a black president affects black people. I almost had a heart attack Tuesday watching the news. I don't know how to explain the feeling. It's like waking up from the Matrix. And just like the movie, some people can't handle being freed from it. Some black people are not voting for Obama because he is black, because they can't handle that kind of change (no pun intended).
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed...nothing shall be impossible unto you.- Matthew 17:20
Oh leadership is not possible unless you have a dangly thing between your legs or low melanin counts, that is obvious why give them a chance.
OR
I had a teacher say it does not matter what the puppet looks like because the president is just a mouth peice following all poilitician whim.
All I want is a president with a backbone and brain. Not one that is a ram rod or worm.

What is the comment above ^ about? Some people just seem to post things that don't even pertain to the blog. Well I think all 3 candidates have their positives and negatives but only one can win!
Rest in peace

primary votes than any male running for President Ever...So Obama if he wants to win may have to choose her.
I have seen how wishy washy Obama has been for time to time about things but he had been very clear that he would not have HER as a running mate.
My husband said something about that coupling not being a vice president but a co-pres...that would be to much change for one vote....

I am pretty sure that comment had more to do with the blog then you realize softballgurl52003.
The blog states "Many people state that America is not ready for a woman or African American to be President. But we shall ask ourselves, have we given them the chance they deserve? Or have we formed a bias way of thinking that only allows us to be negative towards these two candidates?"
The comment you are refering to is much like the first comment by 'lance.' only phrased like a crack head since everyone else had meantioned it already. To go over it again... it IS crazy to pick a leader because of penis or tan, these things have nothing to do with leadership. What we need is a president with a backbone and brain not one that is a worm and self serving or a socialist. Not a bull headed moron either. SOmeone how probably lives in the perfect world I have been hearing about so much.
You comment is not so applicable as you would like it to have been.
Might I also mention the three candidates for presidency are not McCain, Clinton and Obama. The two main runners this year are Obama (good luck) and McCain (good luck). Senetor Clinton will be lucky as hell if she has anything to do with the presidency from now on... she gets to rot in senate
Great posts everyone
