I can’t get past the Idea of America. I can’t get past the idea that it was such a grate idea. That the America that was dreamed of when the declaration of independence was signed can exist. We just have to fight like hell. The American dream is not dying, it is being murdered by greed, hatred, willing ignorance, and above all the ability of Americans to turn a blind eye on the duress of their home land. It is our ability to ignore the fact that our rights, bought with the blood and courage of patriots time and time again, are being snuffed out, ignored, and taken away. It is not too late however. Our moment in the sun has not passed. We can take back what is ours and lock it in place for future generations. All we have to do is vote. All we have to do is protest when things are obviously wrong. All we have to do is let it be known that we as Americans, red blooded and proud, will not stand for the desecration of our rights. Not any more.
I can't get off of the Subject of America because I still believe.

Very true. Unfortunately, so many of the greedy murderers of the American dream are our elected officials. Just this week Bush vetoed a bill to reduce the costs of healthcare for children without insurance. His reason was that he "has poor kids in mind." what?
It's frustrating, but it seems like the only thing one can do is wait for January 2009.
How come we only ask ourselves the really big questions when something bad happens?
I ask my self every day all day and I don't sleep any more.
