I was reading someone else blog when i got this idea to post my difference in the world. Im different because Im Christian. Yes I believe tha Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that God is the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Unfortuantley ive gotten into some pretty rough spots because of this. People have looked at me and judged me because i said i was Christian and i could never understand why someone would think bad about me just because my belief was different. Then i thought its because of the bandwagon effect. Society believes that all people who call themselves Christian are loud mouthed people who push their views on non-believers well thats not true. Because one person thought this way another began to think this way and so on and that is callled the bandwagon effect.
It does make me mad that most everone believes that all Christians are pushy and forceful well like i said thats not true. The ones who are forceful are those who are quick to judge the non-believers and condemn them. I will be the first to tell you that a real Christian will never condemn another and if he or she does then the fellow Christian will beam him or her upside their head and say Thats not your place to judge! Because really who are we to judge the sinful when we as Christians are just as sinful.
I have talked to some fellow Christians and I have heard and read the stories of those who got saved and the hardships they have over come so yeah we're not perfect like those loud mouthed ones think that you have to be. Im here to tell ya that the difference in Christians and the rest is what we believe and thats it.
The difference is not the fact that because one Christian or group made the mistake to be forceful. Im sorry but a Christian is not supposed to be forceful because God is not forceful so why should we. I just wanted to say that i know what it is like to be easiley judged by people who neither know me or know my God. So i can relate despite all that you might think and the only way to over come that problem is to look society in the eye and say "I am who I am and if you have a problem with it then deal with it" ( the poliet version) and walk away and thats all. And one more thing don't give in and think that this is the only choice you have listen to your heart and you might just hear someone trying to talk to you. :)

Hi, do you live in the United States? A country that is supposedly 80-90% Christian? I think that Christians have it very easy in this country. They influence government a lot, have assets and cash and as you put it "quickly judge" other groups (homosexuals, Muslims, etc). I think that is the reason many non-Christians are so against Christianity. But it is true, they have faced hardships in other countries.

I just wanted to answer your question. yes i do live in the US but i have to disagree with you on the percetage of Christians. I mean over half of that percentage are people who claim Christianity is a religion when in fact Christianity is a belief and way of life, it is a one on one relationship wtih Jesus Christ. A variety of denominations influence the government and those denominations ( not all of them) claim Christanity is a religion. And another thought, these denominations when they call themselves christian, to whom are they calling themselves christian. I mean as far as Muslims go they believe in Alah who in fact is totally different from Jesus Christ. Im not condeming or judging you or anyone else but as a Christian and others everywhere we love our fellow man and uphold the sactity of life. Im not trying to go all preachy on ya so if you have any question hey! feel free to ask i wont get offended. ok cool! :)
I don't have any opinion anyone based on his or her religion. I know a lot of people that do. I have a couple of Christian friends. Jessica and I can talk freely about her religion and my lack thereof. Neither of us slam each other's opinions. I have another friend who seems to think his mission in life is to save the souls of us nonbelievers. That gets annoying.
It is a stereotype to believe that all Christians are judgmental, but it's also a stereotype to believe that those of us with no religious beliefs have no morals, ethics, or values. (I'm not saying you do; I just run into that argument a lot.) I don't worry about the people who have a preconceived notion that I am evil.
It is more and more obvious that the Christian Right has a lot of control in the government. This isn't a Christian nation, or rather it was never meant to be. I think people hold all Christians responsible for the few that do have control. What I really don't understand is how the Christian right is Republican. A big part of Christianity is supposed to be to help others. The GOP is more concerned with profits and continuing to widen the wealth gap.

See there is a big difference in GOP and Christians and anyway heres a thought for ya if the Christians have as much control or influence in the government then wouldnt the gov have a little more morals and be a little more self aware of what they were doing? anyway its good that you do at least talk with someone on the matter and if you have anymore questions hey im willing to talk to ya :)
The GOP claims to want less government, yet they want to make abortion and same sex marriage nationally illegal. They might not make other things national law, but the federal government withholds funds from states that don't do certain things. Abstinence-only sex education is probably the best example to prove my point. Those are the influence of Christianity.

Wait, you're DIFFERENT?
No, you're like the large majority of the rest of America.

thanks you just proved my point. You dont even know me and yet you think im like the rest of America. :)
