I suppose this is where I shall begin my pursuit of finding meaning in life.
I've decided to create this blog for two reasons:
1.) I of course would love to receive a scholarship for the things I've written. I could always use the money.
2.) I want to share with the world my thoughts on life. The idea that one can go through life not having their views on life or ideas affect someone frightens me. It's my goal to affect at these one person in this world.
This would also be a good time to share a little bit about myself since I will be writing my opinions and views on the world and issues that we face. I hope that the background information I provide will help you relate and understand the views I hold.
I'm currently a freshman and the State University of New York at Potsdam. I plan on pursuing a degree in music through the Crane School of Music. I've always been a very opinionated person, however, I feel I haven't been very educated up until this semester. College changes you. You become a completely different person than the one who started classes on the first day last semester.
I'm an activist of gay rights, Save Darfur, and Go Green. I feel very passionately about the causes I participate in. I hope that efforts I contribute make a difference.
I'm a vegetarian. I enjoy yoga. I'm very spiritual.
I value life and those in mine. Love and peace will make this world a better place someday. If you have any questions, then just ask. I'm an open book and I want to learn more.

Wow, it is really refreshing to see an intro blog that doesn't put me to sleep. It's very rare to find a real intro blog, rather than "I am so and so and i want the scholarship. That is all".

...it looks like you share a thought with me. I mean, how can people exist without trying to make a difference or having an opinion heard? Wouldn't you just feel empty inside?
I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from. I don't condemn those who do not see this. I instead think their eyes haven't been opened enough to realize this.
It takes something dramatic or something revolutionary to change your outlook on life. I had that happen in my life. Sadly I've come to realize that not everyone will go through this change but we must stay positive and hope that enough do.
We are all people on this planet, no matter what we look like or where we come from. And we need to start encouraging more people to want to change, to be the change, and to make change. I just want to inspire.
