You’ve been waiting forever for this moment. Well it seems like it. You’ve been checking the mailbox to only find miscellaneous junk mail. You’ve been checking your account to only find that you are left with the same balance that is supposed to get you through a week hopefully. But now it is here. Your stimulus payment is supposed to be your Lifesaver for gas, bills, groceries, rent, mortgage, and all the other necessities you desire. Mmmmmm. But why does this Lifesaver taste sweet at first and then sour when you’re almost done with it?
Now everyone can go spend like crazy on things they need. But wait! There are so many companies advertising for your stimulus payment, it’s kind of hard to choose one. Wal-Mart wants to cash your check for free and wants you to get a Wal-Mart card. Banks are having Economic Cd’s for your money. Groceries stores are either giving you a percentage off your groceries or are trying to double them when you cash your check with them. Car dealerships are trying to double your payment if you purchase a car with them. It’s not like you can’t use that kind of deal because they normally don’t offer this one that much. So you spend your check with relief knowing that some of your needs will finally be met.
Now there is more food in the pantry and fridge. Now you are not riding on the verge of E anymore. Now you have saved yourself from becoming homeless by paying this month’s bill. You are now half way caught up with your other bills. Just like the President said, the stimulus checks would help the economy out in a time of need. Well they did but to keep your self on top of the financial hill, you’re going to probably need some more financial relieving funds. It’s not like this temporary feeling of being worry free won’t dissipate in the air.
The President believes that the stimulus payment will save everyone from the so called recession. Yeah it will temporarily but not permanently. When our fuel needle pursues back to E and there are fewer groceries in our houses, what’s next? We then find ourselves back to square one when we use up all the stimulus refund or we find ourselves being paranoid and trying to save every bit of what we might never see again.
There have been rumors saying that the President may issue another payment to everyone again. This is nice, but what happens when we run out of that check too? Some people say to spend the check wisely or put it in savings. But if you have children whose bellies are rumbling due to hunger, how can you tell them you can’t get them food because you need to save that money? Plus many of us save money for when we get in financial burdens. But a lot of our savings accounts are looking empty due to the economy.
Then who can we point the finger at when it comes to the economy that is becoming poor? Will we always be hoping to receive another check from the government? Will we always have to decide on getting needs and never wants? Will the homeless rate keep rising to the point of no return?
So as some of us still wait for our stimulus checks to arrive, and some have already received theirs, the economy is still on the back burner. These checks don’t stop the reality of becoming poor. But yet we are still wishing something could cure our minds and our pockets too. So what is next? Will gas finally go back down? Will groceries lower down to a reasonable price? We just have to stand by unfortunately and see.

I hate to be the person who brings bad news but all bush is doing is putting our country more into debt. Also it wasn't far that I wasn't allowed to get this check because my dad still claims me as a dependant so his taxes are lower. I still live with him but pay for college which is 1,450 dollars out of pocket plus books. I pay for some of the bill and don't depend on him for money.
Dow dropped almost 400 points the other day. All the stocks are dropping quite badly. Housing equity has hit an all time low since after WW2. unemployment is 5.5%. I am barely getting 16 hours a week at my job. No one at my job is getting 40. It doesn't look so promising right now. Gas has shot up again and is excpected to shoot up more. It looks pretty bleek at the moment. I am very worried and I believe everyone should be.

Love comments? I do too!
I started worrying when the Prez. went into office. But I told myself "he may just make some good decisions." Well for some reason the economy is doing poorly. But will our new President be able to save us? Most people will expect that out of them even though it might takes years to fix another's bobo's.
I started worrying when he was running because I had a feeling he would win. Most of my feelings are right. I had a feeling hillary would lose and I have a feeling Obama is going to win. It will take awhile to get the economy in good terms again, but I am more worried than I have been in a long time.
