The word holiness is “the quality or state of being holy” (Webster 527). A lot of people don’t know that there is a difference between holiness and true holiness. There are a lot of things that the two have in common. It’s the little tings that separate the two.
According to Bishop H.M. Johnson, the pastor of Friendship A.O.H. Church of God and 2nd presiding bishop of the A.O.H body, both holiness and true holiness people believe in Jesus and that he saves. Both believe that Jesus will come back for his church, but there must be something done in order to go back with him. However, when it comes down to how to obtain whatever it is a person needs to go back with Jesus, the two have different answers.
Holiness people believe in order to go back with Jesus or obtain the Holy Ghost ( which is Jesus) a person would have to go by Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raise him from the dead thou shalt be saved” (Rom. 10:9). Also holiness people tend to “live the life” in church but not outside it. Holiness people are described in 2 Timothy chapter 3, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Tim. 3:5)
True holiness people believe that there is more to be done to obtain the Holy Ghost. Although Romans 10:9 says to just believe, it seems that holiness people just skip over the first verse in that chapter which states “Brothers my heart’s desire in prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved” (Rom. 10:1). Romans 10:9 was talking to the Israelites. Holiness is a way of “life and living” (Bishop H.M. Johnson), and unlike holiness people, true holiness people are sanctified which means to be “set aside for the service of the Lord.” True holiness people believe that one must call on the name of Jesus (tarry) until one speaks in tongues “as the spirit…” (Spirit of God), “…gave utterance” (Acts 2:4). When one listens to Holiness preachers preach about their doctrine, it is safe to say that they think this concept, calling on the name of Jesus, is unnecessary and a waste of time.
There are thousands and thousands of people in Holiness, only a few in true holiness (Mead 161-168). This fact alone may make people think that true holiness must be wrong. But Matthew chapter 7 states, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matt 7:13, 14). Holiness people have fun but true holiness people have joy. Holiness people read the bible to memorize but true holiness people study the bible to gain understanding of His word. Holiness people can only praise the Lord but true holiness people can praise and worship Him.
Holiness people are blind to the fact that without calling on the name of Jesus and being baptized in his name, you can’t see or enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:3, 5). True holiness people understand the importance of calling on the name of Jesus and what the word holy really means. Proverbs chapter 14 states, “There is a way which seemth right unto a man but the end thereof is death” (Proverbs 14:12). Holiness people seem to be living a life of a saint but true holiness people actually live it.
Holiness or True Holiness. Which one is right?

Umm...Can you space out the paragraphs a little more (the average blog-paragraph is about 2-4 sentences to allow for easy reading on a computer)?
