The decision prompted national debate that continues to this day about whether abortion should be illegal, about who should decide whether it is illegal, about the role of the Supreme Court in constitutional adjudication, and about the role of religious and moral views in the political sphere.
The reason why this case will prolly be re-opened is because the little girl after 4 months of intensive care and operations has lived and the doctors say she will live a normal life. . .Just a little smaller than normally. She has survived at 22 weeks were as the case says the viability is around 24-to 28 weeks. With this huge breakthrough in technology this may bring a massive amount of controversy to the case and rehash many feeling express during the actual case.
