I thought coming out of college his mechanics would do him in. He threw it awkwardly and I honestly thought he'd enter the league with a 'run-first' mentality similarly to Michael Vick.
Twelve games later and I'm in awe. Whereas Young was scrambling earlier in the season, he definitely has shaken that mind-set. Yesterday against the Colts he completed 15 passes....to ten different receivers. He's distributing the ball like a professional all while being able to balance his scrambling power as an auxiliary weapon.
For a guy who is surrounded by much less than Matt Leinart (receivers-wise), I think that he's shown to be the superior rookie quarterback. The Titans were predicted to be a 3 to 4 win team tops this year, whereas the leadership and savvy of Young has lead them to wins over both Mannings.
Not to discredit that defense though. Keith Bullocks is still the best OLB in my opinion. Watch him play a game and you'll see what I'm talking about.
