I have promised a post on the Cambrian Explosion. Normally my posts come mainly from memory and I can do them relatively quickly. However, I do not feel like my knowledge of the Cambrian period is sufficiently complete to allow me to do so properly. I have been reading and learning. It is a truly fascinating area with many important facets to it. Unfortunately not much of this information common knowledge to the general public. Putting the creationist/Intelligent Design v Modern Evolutionary Theory debate into proper context requires presenting a lot of information and explaining exactly how it relstes to the debate.
I have written up the post several times only to come across a tidbit of information that convinces me my presentation doesn't give an adequate depth of the scope of what we know and what we don't know. I will continue to work on the post until I think I can give you an accurate summary of the state of our knowledge and the proper context with respect to the creationist/Intelligent Design v Modern Evolutionary Theory. I have tried to keep my posts to an easily readable length, I do not think I can do so with this one however.
