Gays Don't Earn The Right

Tagged:

Gays are just like any other person. No one has the right to discriminate them. I am sure that if we all examine ourselves, we have all been discriminated against in some way. That's not a good feeling. The ten commandments gives everyone a freedom of choice and it shouldn't be violated no matter what social group we choose. Smokers, those that don't attend church, those who dye their hair blonde, etc. could all be discriminated upon. Why? Is this ethnical? Sure it is not.

The Ten Commandments is about freedom of choice? Funny, I always thought it was a list of rules. That's probably because they are called COMMANDments.

Sorry, I meant to be speaking of the Bill of Rights.

lol. Okay you confused me there at first. =)

Never judge anyone but yourself. You bother your neighbor with a speck of wood in his eye, yet cannot see the plank that is within yours. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ or Buddha or Allah or Ayn Rand or Freud or whoever the heck you worship.

Don't judge.

Bravo Angela, completely agree with you.

I agree with what you're saying but out of curiosity, what did you mean when you said 'the ten commandments gives everyone a freedom of choice'?

Sorry, but I meant to speak of the Bill of Rights.

God gave us free will. That free will is what allows people to choose to smoke, choose to over eat, choose to be gay.

The ten commandments gave rules for Old Testament persons to live buy, and principles for the age of Grace Christian to live by. The first and great commandment of the New Testament was given by Jesus, "I command ye to love one another as I have also loved you".

But nowhere does it say the ten commandments gave us freedom to sin. Sodom and Gomorrah were great cities, full of homosexuality, beastiality, theivery, murderous and adulterous people. They were destroyed by God's judging fire, so shall the new age of grace be judged by God's judgment, and not that of man. That is as it should be.

Telling someone I think that is wrong, is not the same as judging though, so there is a line that needs to be drawn between judgement and opinion/thoughts. Judgement is defined by Websters.com as:

1. The act or process of judging; the formation of an opinion after consideration or deliberation.

If I say it is wrong, that is my judgement. But what persicution have you felt from that? What of my brothers killed for believing in Christ? Do you have compassion for them the same as a the gay person?
What of my sisters killed for teaching the Gospel to those lost.

Many say Christianity is judging the Gays as being wrong. My Bible says God already did that in Sodom and Gomorrah and told us in this age it is not our place to judge, yet it is not our place to stand idle and not try to point those we see in sin to the Cross of Calvary either. Though we are to focus on the sinner from Gods view, a lost or astray person and not on their sin, or the nature of their sin, which unfortunately happens too often in today's world.

I have friends that are gay, I have friends that do drugs. I still tell then about Christ every time we are together. I try my hardest to not point out what they do wrong in my eyes, because my eyes are not the judging eyes.....

What sin is it for someone to love someone else? I'm not sure smoking is a sin, but it is stupid. Overeating is gluttony. You may entail lust with being gay. But lust is among all sexuality. People feel that gay people are sinful because it is uncomfortable part of sex. People are afraid of sex. It is taboo. Ages ago, people thought it was sinful for women to show any sexual desire. The act of sex itself, regardless of who was doing the doing, was considered sinful. Just research the Victorian Era and you'll see what I mean. Ask yourself this question though, is it sinful to love another? Why is it not sinful for you to love your brother or sister, or mother or father, your friends, your enemies? There is nothing sinful about love.

I know that it is a hard thing to decide when to speak about your faith and when to watch what you say. I find it best to speak in broad terms and describe Jesus and God, etc for what they stand for. I can understand if I told someone "Love Jesus and you will go to heaven," that they would be uncomfortable. But instead talk about how love is what binds humanity together. That believing in Jesus really means believing in his teachings of love. You will get a much better reception.

Good points about love, and not it is not wrong to love another, with un-lustful love.

I just go based on that Bible says marriage is a man and woman. Not man and man, not woman and woman. It says to love all people though. I think there are two levels of love there.

That is true, the Bible does state it. I think we can all agree that love is good. It is always challenging to decipher what is deemed good and bad by humanity between the taboos that have risen through human history. There isn't just one answer when comes to such subjects, a handicap of the understanding capability of man.

"I'm not sure smoking is a sin"
Well smoking is "killing you" and others. Because they smell it and they can die from it to. So I think it's like "Thou shall not kill" So unless one smokes at home by themselves, I see no problem, aside from being slow suicide.

Sorry, but I meant to speak of the Bill of Rights.

You use the Bible for an example a freedom, but in the Bible it also says God created one WOMAN and one MAN and told them to be fruitful and multiply, which means God wanted a man to be with a woman and not with another man

Sorry, but I meant to speak of the Bill of Rights. I didn't mean to reference the Bible.

In my opinion, God wants us to love everyone, including homosexuals and people with different sexual preferences. However, in the Bible, He does tell us that marriage is between one man and one woman.. so there we go.

Sorry, but I meant to speak of the Bill of Rights.

But if people are discriminating against me--and they won't stop soon--why should I not discriminate them? It's unfair!
