Why is there any controversy over movies and religion? It's not hard to find movies that satisfy both.
Many religious people feel that movies and games misrepresent their religion and spirituality. Themes in feature films can be the very antithesis of spiritual values and so they have gone out of their way to create movies more to their pleasing or they have eliminated the cuss words or sexuality from pop films.
These are some recommended films for both religious and non-religious folks. It doesn't have to preclude one audience to please another. Here's the complete list but these are my favs:
Casablanca
Ben Hur
It's a wonderful Life
Pinochio
Quiz Show
Vertigo
You Can't Take it with You
The Age of Innocense.
The Passion of Christ
Fiddler on the Roof
But I found this interesting. top movie list.
(Click the list for movies I haven't even heard of.)
But at anyrate, I found this that gave me a chuckle.
"This page contains tables tabulating data from RottenTomatoes.com collections of movie reviews. For the movies listed here, no attempt has been made to find any other reviews. Review Roundup tables on other pages may include reviews other than those tabulated by RottenTomatoes.com.
The positive/negative (fresh/rotten) assessment is done by RottenTomatoes.com. Note that there may be reviews which were given a positive/negative assessment, but which were not counted by RottenTomatoes.com in their final "RottenTomatoes.com freshness score" (a percentage)."
So a website scores by rotton tomotoes instead of one thumbs up or two thumbs down. and it's much better than them throwing rotten tomatoes or eggs at the theatre's screen too.
At anyrate, there's plenty of religious and nonreligious films out there to please anyone. Personally, my choice of films include things like storyline, music scoring, atristry, etc. But I can understand if some people want a more spiritual film.

Wow is this not the same exact thing I posted last night??
check the website all around. Lots of similar ideas all across the board. I've seen you post on video games after nolie did. I've seen posts on God, abortion, movies, Iraq, etc...
But in all honesty, you listed top ten controversial ideas.
THIS list movies that BOTH sides might find spiritually pleasing.

They're not even the same links. How is this exactly what you posted when its aimed to a different thing? IE movies that both religious and non religious can enjoy, and isnt even from the same sources?
Thanks for insinuating that I plagiarize, you DO owe me an apology... people cross post links on threads all the time... its exchanging ideas.... Doyou really think that if i copied you i'd go post it side by side on yours? Eyah real smart.
competition.
I saw at least 10 brittany threads. A bunch of abortion threads. So the idea that only one person is entitled to an idea is not really progressive around here.
