For too long in the United States, voters have chosen to vote for the "lesser of two evils," but after I while it gets old. The 2008 presidential election will be one for the ages, first ever black President or first women VP. That's history in the making, and it's happening right here in America. I however; see the same old same old familar theme. In 2004, voters kept hearing, "I will bring change, vote for me!," but that change was only what they wore to the next speech.
Barack Obama, is a great speaker, no doubt about it. Put him in a room with reporters with no script in front of him and he doesn't know what to do. Obama was elected to the Senate in 2004, that's just a little over four years of experience. His theme includes the phrase "Change We Need" where have I heard that one before? McCain doesn't get any better. Yes, he served his country with honor and yes he has the experience, but he is not a true conservative. In a speech he gave during the primaries, he accidently said, "I am a true conservative liberal Republican...I mean a conservative Republican..." McCain can't have it both ways.
I love my country, but neither of these candidates I believe will turn our country in the right direction. I admit, I'm a conservative, but that doesn't mean I will vote just for Republicans or that I hate every liberal Democrat that walks the face of the earth. We're all Americans. Please, Obama and McCain, stop the party politics and start putting America first.
Same theme, Different look.
