Good Night God.

So last night as I finished talking to God, I said 'love you, good night.' And then I was like, wait, is it okay to say that? This made me think...Of course it's okay to say it! But how many kids don't know that? How many teens today think there is a right and a wrong way to pray? I've been lucky, I have a pretty close relationship with the big guy. God has helped me through so much and I wish I could share it with everyone...but I can't. It's not possible to reach every person in the world. I can't change everyone. But I can get out my message to one person at a time.

You don't have to "pray" to God every single day. I talk with him. Which I find a lot better. I tell him about my day and sometimes I bargain with him, like he's my parent here on earth only about bigger things than a curfew. Last night I asked for a snow day today. But if I could only have the snowday or a win at state, I told him I'd take the win at state, but if he wanted to give me both, that was okay too. Well, I did get the snow day and state is a few weeks away, but I won't hold it against him if we lose. It's all part of his plan and I know that. I like just talking to him as if he could answer back and I think this snowday was his way of answering me. Like, a 'see, I'm listening"

But maybe it was also a warning, like an "I'm always listening" like maybe I need to be a little more God-centered on the inside, instead of so much on the outside. He wants to see me for me not me for the front I put up to all the people who don't believe.

Either way...I wish more people would talk to him. I think he's cool and I hope more teens like me agree. I think a lot of the bad stuff that goes on in the world today could be solved with over a cup of coffee with God.

We don't need all the structure to have more God in our lives. I rarely go to church, but I bet I'm close to God then 90% of people who go every week. I'm excited for life and I"m excited for God and His plan for me...

Wonderful,

Having a relationship with God (or a higher being) can certainly help us with/in our daily lives (it obviously has with yours)
