So i had heard from a friend that there were a few movies of some horrible stuff that have been going around for a few years. The faces of Death movie series is a full length documentary type film that shows upsetting images like suicide and cultural traditions that might be a little untasteful. My question is how did America and the media create a trend of mainstream sadism. This is horrible stuff, in fact they have one video were two people sit at a table and the waiter brings in a monkey (alive) the man at the head of the table picks up a hammer and bashes the monkeys head in. After tthis is done the couple eat the monkeys brains.
We watch SAW and Hostel for kicks and movies like Seven and The Bone Collector go out (The Bone Collecter might be a bad refrence but anyway) we as Americans welcome sick humor and a good ol' torture anyday and why the hell is that.
Now i wiill admit that I am Hipocritical I in fact loved the Movie Seven and SAW but i stell don't get it. Maybe some one could explain if this new infatuation is a good or really bad thing?
