Louisville: Murder Capital of the US?

Tagged:

As you can tell, I ended the title with a question mark. I'm not stating it is but it seems like every day, when I turn on the news someone has been shot, or stabbed, or beaten to death and actually makes me think that thought. Between a man dying in a house fire set by the landowner and an old lady getting shot by some teenager while he was robbing her, it just makes me sad. When I moved to Louisville from San Diego I thought it was going to be quiet and peaceful but it seems like everything is just in turmoil and disarray here. I seriously think this city needs either more cops, stricter laws, or at least more funding for the police department.

Lexington isn't much better! Theres often 4-5 robberies a night in that place! People getting murdered daily, its a shame what these relatively small cities are becoming.

Haha this is actually funny. I went to middle school in Newburg, and I was scared. That's where all the news takes place..that and downtown.

ahahahahahhahaha Goodness gracious. Louisville has a very low murder rate, we just have hungry media. Louisville has 30 homocides with a population of 556,000, due to merger. 250,000 people before. Houston Texas Has 289 murders so far this year. St. Louis with a city population of 350,000 people has is about to hit 100 homicides. Baltmore about 180 murders so far 630,000 people. Louisville murder rate is nothing, Ive driven through shawneeland, russel neighborhood, laughable, not hard at all. For inner city neighborhoods. Cincinnati 311,000 people had 54 murders at the end, of july. Every corner of cincinati, is like 39th and Riverpark drive. Or the convienient store at Shepherd Square. Over the Rhine, and Walnut hills in cincinnati, make louisvilles west end look like paradise.

The contenders for murder capital are going to be Birmingham, St. Louis, Baltimore, Detroit, Gary Indiana,.

Richmond is also terrible, and New orleans, 200,000 people, are closing in on 100 homicides already.

Of all cities, per capita, East St.louis will get Murder capital. With 30,000 people, 30,000 people live in east St. louis, They are on pace for 39 homocides, with 30,000 people.

That is like 133 murders per 100,000 people.

Its all they talk about, seriously lets start a paper or a show that only shows the happy news, like a small child was lost by his parents in a department store, he was found snuggled up in one of the giant beds, it was really cute and people got pictures! thats news worth hearing!
