The Illusion of Freedom.
I voted this past Election Day and I was not surprised to find that not a single candidate I voted for was elected. I had watched a documentary about the security of the Diebold electronic voting machines on HBO. I highly recommend educating as many people as possible on this matter expediently at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6286076130443593611&q=documentar... . We might not have to worry about the current President nestling in for another term, but we do have to know about the security of the voting machines. Bev Harris is an author/grandmother from Seattle who made this documentary called “Hacking Democracy”. Electronic Security Systems and Diebold have over 80% of the electronic voting machine business in the U.S. Diebold sent numerous letters to HBO asking them not to show this documentary, they didn’t listen. Kudos to you HBO! In this film Mrs. Harris exposes these supposed flaws by employing an electronics security system specialist to hack the system successfully with relative ease. Think about those implications regarding the problems with the 2004 Presidential Election? Think about those implications with the importance of the upcoming 2008 elections? Please watch these videos and spread the information, contact your representatives and tell them your concerns. Let your government know that you are the real source of their power. I can’t imagine having a democracy with tainted voting machines. It is time for us to step up and show our elected officials that we will not be fooled, we are not sheep and we will be heard.
