Our Oceans And Their Fight For Survival

Our Oceans are very low on our list of saving the endangered species of the world.  The tiger, the elephant, and the recently removed Bald Eagle are the animals that immediately come to mind when we say endangered species.  We may even think of whales, but whales are not the only endangered species that live in the ocean.  Recent news reported that Polar Bears are losing thier habitat to melting snow.  Can we think of any ocean animals that need saved?  I can.  I have only been to the ocean once in my lifetime and am not a good swimmer, but I love the ocean and all of it's creatures.

Manatees are a good example of an ocean animal that you rarely hear about.  Sea turtles are slowly losing the fight to survive.  What about the Blue Whale?  Has anyone even seen one recently and we know they are the biggest animal on earth, but are they being helped at all?  What about the Dwarf Seahorse?  What about the Japanese Salamander? It grows up to 5 feet long, but can only be found in the waters surrounding Japan.  Has anyone done anything to help them?

What is with the Chinese? Instead of creating a new species of frog with see through skin, shouldn't they be doing more for the Panda Bear?  Some animals only live in certain areas of the world.  Isn't there something we can do as a society to help preserve these special habitats?

The answer is yes.  The coral reef is one such answer.  Fishing in some parts of the world nearly killed a whole entire species of fish due to the nets and pollutants from boats destroying their habitat.  Now thanks to a few caring people, fishing was banned in those areas and coral was added to create a new living environment for that particular species of fish and now those fish are thriving again.

Don't forget about our ocean friends and their fight for survival.  Thank You!

We will keep you updated on the ocean survival fight.

about the ocean...i'm a big fan since Finding Nemo (funny but i love that movie) anyways, i just think you should stick to mostly black font, but that's me---i usually have to copy and paste stuff into word document to read it easily-----i can't read stuff that is not written in black because my eyes are not very good at reading caps/italicized and all colorful typed blogs

besides that, great topic/blog

It's just like rotating crops, we need to rotate where we fish so certain species can have a chance to repopulate.
