WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

Tagged:  •

Today on the news you here more about teenagers skipping school or walking off school property. Although, some teens have their fooled ;when they get up put on their back pack and get on the bus or, their parents take them to school and they get out the car and make their way up to the doors, and then they leave. Let's think one second, in one school there should be at least one thousand kids ; so one would think they had administrators to patrol them. With this in mind, how can a group of say about five people walk out the front doors of a high school? It's easy they just pretend to go to lunch and walk out the doors. This creates problems that have not been resolved. The major one is "Who is responsible?" Some say the parents; because parents think that their children dont need them to direct anymore . Most would say the teachers ; because they are responsible for the children when the children are at school or step out of the classroom. I say all three;the parents, the teachers, and the student. I believe this because we all share a responsibility for the children.

The trick isn't to stop the teenagers from leaving. What should be done is that they should be taught why they shouldn't leave.

This is tricky, we had kids in high school that did this all of the time, I guess that until they learn the responsibility of staying in class they won't, and since high school classes usually aren't that interesting they won't learn it until they're older.

It's easy to walk out of school and say you're going somewhere to eat. Sometimes parents trust their kids too much and think that they are angels when the reality is that they are not. Maybe the teachers would rather have the kids outside of school that way they can't be troublemakers in school. If someone doesn't want to learn, they have to learn about the value of an education.

I think it is hard to stop teens from leaving because when you are at school, the school is responsible for the student until school lets out.
