About 4 years ago a team mate of mine was hit by a car while riding her bike. She was only 9 years old. She was active in her schools chior, soccer, gymanstics and in her church. When she was hit by a car she was considered instantly brain dead, but th hospital put her on life support just incase the family was going to donated her organs. Many family think about it for a few days or so, but her parents knew right away they wanted to donate her organs.
Her parents ended up donating her heart, one lung and both kidney's. Her heart went somewhere in Massechusetts. Her lung in Minesota and her kidneys went to 2 different people both in Kentucky. They actually watched the helicopters take off tot he different hospitals. Although they all were cryign thy knew it was what was meant to be.
Her family talks abotu how hard it was to watch there daughter die and such a young age, but were greatful tey were able to give the gift of life to so many others. This experience has shown me that I too would like to donate my organs.
Woudl you want to donate your organs when y die? WHy or Why not.

I would because I look at it like this. When I die, the only thing my family members would end up doing is burrying me 6 feet under or eitheir cremating me and call it a day. I really believe that it is better to give than to recieve . If I can give my organs to a sick little girl or a ill man and they can live a better healthier life through me, that is the most amazing thing I could ever do.
