Making A Costly Errand

Yesterday probably was one of the most frustrating days I've had in a while.
At the sound of my alarm, I jumped out of bed, got dressed, and followed my mom to drop off her car to get it inspected. I knew I was going to be late for work, but I sat outside waiting to drive her back home for forty minutes. I was an hour late for work. My boss didn't mind, since I had informed her ahead of time, but I did. I missed an hour's pay when I had only expected to be at the most fifteen minutes late.
After work, I drove back home to pick up my mom so we could get the car back. I drove her back to the car dealer and once again waited until she came out. She told me once again it would only take a few minutes, so I patiently waited. She got into my car, which I didn't expect and told me that they wouldn't take a check. I had to drive her to our bank, which was thirty minutes away to cash the check. So I drove through the traffic.
Once we arrived at the bank, my mom went inside, I waited, and she came back out. She didn't look happy. She told me that the account didn't have enough to cover the check. We would have to drive to our other bank, forty minutes away with another check to cash it.
Now, I was really mad.
I had made lunch plans with one of my friends and had to stand her up, because I had to chaoffere my mom around. Plus, my gas tank was becoming empty.
So, I drove her forty minutes away in traffic and thirty minutes back to the car dealer. Finally, she cashed the check and got her car.
It was getting late and I had to get to dance class, so I left early to get gas in the car. I was about ten minutes away from my house when I realized I forgot my check book, which I desperatly needed. I had to go back home, but that wasn't an easy task. I had to make a U-turn on the highway, but every exit was full. I went another fifteen minutes out of my way to get back on my street.
With all this driving, I had a little less than a half a tank of gas, which I started off with almost a full tank in the morning. I filled it back up, which cost me $38. Good thing I left early, but I can't afford to drive around like this.
