Did you know that at one time, when cheerleading first started, it was an all-male activity? Now, cheerleaders are stereotyped as the popular blondes with short skirts and dating a football player. This stereotype may be true somewhere, but I personally have never witnessed it. Cheerleading takes strength, flexibility, teamwork, and courage
Strength: Whether used for lifting/throwing a person almost the same size as you into the air, or for jumping high, or tumbling, it is important.
Flexibility: For reaching perfection in jumbs and for flyers to do the stunts.
Courage: Imagine flying in the air up to twenty feet and trusting others underneath to be able to catch you. Or how about being the one underneath, having a person coming at you and having to get underneath them to catch.
While most people think it is an activity for prissy girls it is quite contrary. Throwing/Lifting people in the air, jumping, tumbling, and cheering all with a smile is hard. And anyone who wants to say it isn't, i'd like to see you get out there and do the same thing!

My sister is a cheerleader and I agree she works very hard!
My best friend is a cheerleader; I agree, she works her butt off.
What was the point of this? To brag?
