The Dogs of War are Biting th US in the Ass

It's occupied the news for the past five years.  It's changed the face of the American government in th recent mid-term election.  Most importantly, however, the war in Iraq has changed the face of the Middle East and put America in more danger than some dictator over in Iraq.  Now we have to worry about some dictator in Iran.

As much as I abhor the actions of Saddam Hussein during his reign, I can't help but deny the fact that he kept Iranian president Ahmadinejad in check.  Thoughout recent history, Iran and Iraq were locked in conflict that even transcended the religious bounds of Islam; Iranian Sunnis killed Iraqi Sunnis and the same for the hi'ites.  Now that the country faces a grim threat from Iran's nuclear policy, I can't help but wonder if keeping Saddam in power might have staved the ambitions of Iran.  If this is the case, I, as well as the UN and the rest of the US' government, would feel much more secure...
