Greetings All:
I am a free spirit trapped inside this body my momma named "Amanda." My father's surname is McLaughlin hence the name "Amanda McLaughlin."
My nationality is Moorish American meaning I am an original inhabitant of the Americas with lineage in "North America" and CaMeroon West Africa. My free national name is "El" which means "creator." I proclaimed my nationality two years ago. Prior to that I had no knowledge of self. I was amongst the masses of people who thought Black, African-American, Colored, Negro, Jamaican, Puerto Rican, and West Indian were Nationalities.

Everyone has the right to a nationality.

No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.

PLAIN LANGUAGE VERSION:
You have the right to belong to a country and nobody can prevent you, without a good reason, from belonging to another country if you wish.

NOTES:
One’s nationality can be a part of one's identity and sense of belonging. At the same time, conflicts have often been focussed on various issues linked to nationality, such as ethnic differences, territorial rights and expulsion of people.

DEFINITIONS:
Having a nationality means that a person is a citizen of a country with all of its legal benefits, such as the right to participate in elections, as well as its social ones, such as access to education and health care.

Belonging to a nation, legally, culturally and/or emotionally, offers benefits and requires commitment. Ask students to complete the following in the form of 2 paragraphs:

I am... [write your nationality]. My nationality offers me...
[using complete sentences and concrete examples, write down anything you feel your nationality gives you. e.g. legal protection, an i.d. card, free health care, etc.]

I am... [write you nationality]. My responsibility as a citizen is to...
[write down all your responsibilities. e.g. respect its laws, speak out if there is something wrong, pay taxes, keep it safe, etc.]

What things span across nationality?
What things are restricted by nationality?
What is the difference between national and cultural identity?

Having a nationality ties you to the land on which you stand. Nationality carries with it a free national name easily recognized and distinguished from other nations. Nations also have a flag. They have a culture all their own including language, dress, food, religious practices etc.
Moorish Americans are descended from Moroccans and born in America. A famous Moabitess is Ruth from the TANAKH/Torah. The Moors innovated many of the sciences we study today. Ziryab was the first barber and created new grooming techniques. The Moors also invented civilized government, chess, air conditioning, printing press, typewriter, helicopter, refrigerator, ice cream, thermo hair curlers, gas mask, telephone system, electric railway system, fire extinguisher, elevator, cellular phone, and automatic gear shift just to name a few.
Don't believe it because I said so. Do your due diligence and prove it (right or wrong).
My ancestors were the original people and builders of civilzation. Even after our ma'afa (African Holocaust) we are still a brilliant people. (For more info on the MAAFA visit http://swagga.com/maafa.htm )
If only we knew our selves.....

I am a first time college student in my first semester of school. Currently I am taking math and social science. My favorite out of the two classes is math. Algebra gets me buzzing. I am preparing to become a teacher. While teaching I will remain in school to become an administrator within the school system.
