John Kerry... thank you/no thank you

John Kerry's statement given last week can be summarized as you better do your homework or else you will be deported to Iraq.  Forunately for me I am a diligent student!  His words could have been a non-humorous joke or taken the wrong way.  However, I am not a fan of John Kerry I am pretty upset that he said these words for political reasons.  Now he is out of the 2008 Presidential election, which is terrible news for the Republicans.  I was really hoping Kerry would run again to make it an easy election.  In addition, it is halarious to view his campaigns and Saturday Night Live skits.  Now that Kerry is out of it, it opens the door for Hilary Clinton.  I have never been a fan of the Clintons.  In fact, I cannot stand looking or hearing Hilary or Bill.  But, not that Bill is out of office I will just focus on Hilary.  She seems like a stone.  She seems like she was made for politics in the sense that I would not trust her word for much.  At least I feel like President Bush is sincere in his words, I don't get that feeling from Hilary.  If Hilary wins the election I would be ashamed of our country.  She seems so unaffectionately safe.  And why haven't her and Bill gotten a divocre yet?  Oh!  I know... for political image.  If that is the kind of person we elect that is awful.  Good thing the President is more a symbolic character than a dictator.  I doubt she will get elected due to her female status, but Senator Clinton would be a terrible person to have as our First Woman President.

This topic is getting incredibly old on PU (Kerry and Clinton both). It's been done and redone multiple times and everyone always has the same opinions. I'd like to hear why you think Clinton would be so bad (aside from the fact that she's a woman so wouldn't get elected, is annoying to listen too and comes across as a "stone"), not just the same thing we've been hearing from everyone else for weeks now. And I'm in no way implying you're just copying everyone else or anything nor am I just trying to be a pain in the ass. I just want to hear genuine reasons behind opinions when they are presented.

I dont think Hillary(two l's) should get elected because she is a socialist in hiding. If you go and look at her policies and views on everything from abortion to Social Security, she follows the social policies as far as she can take them. Hillary would rather take money from my hard earned paycheck to pay for a crackhead to get some food, than waiting to see if I give it up willingly. You know what? If I decide that my money is not worthy of giving to anyone for any reason, that is a reasonable thing to do. If it is my money, I should be allowed to decide what I do with it. People today are too quick to accept things as correct just because they have been that way for some amount of time. Just because things are a certain way does not mean they are the correct way, or that we are past the point where we can fix them.

Thank you. Reasons for opinions are what I like to hear, not just the opinions. And I could not agree more that people are too willing to accept things as correct simply because they have always been that way. That's just not so in many instances.

ccollioer06, whick words do you think Geroge Bush is sincere in? When he told George Stephanopolis " It's never been stay the course", after repeating those words like a mantra for months? Or making up new reasons why we needed to invade Iraq when all the reasons he gave us before going in turned out to be false? Or when he said "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees", before tapes were played showing him being told in a meeting exactly what would happen to New Orleans , and he didn't ask a single question?
What truthful thing has the Commander in Chimp ever said to us- or you?
