There are many ways a funeral can cost you, even after the funeral is over!
The most expensive way a funeral can cost you happened here. A man's brother died. He gave instructions that his brother have the best funeral possible. The funeral cost over $40,000 dollars. This was not a lower cost funeral. The deceased brother became especially concerned when the bill came from the funeral home for $75.00 a month. When asked the Funeral Director said.You said you wanted the best funeral possible. I simply rented a tux and buried your brother in it! (Garrison Keeler)
As a funeral director this is the most expensive ceremony I ever saw. It started out as a low cost funeral. The widow asked that the ring be returned to her. The funeral director forgot to take the ring off the deceased. After the casket was in the ground and covered. The funeral Director denied that the ring was requested to be removed. The widows family had to pay to have the body exhumed and the ring retrieved. In a second the low cost funeral turns into a high cost funeral.(from RestinPeace)
