The big fix is not the government

Time is no man's friend yet all this country seems to be doing is waiting. We are waiting for the different national parties to decide who will possibly be the next president of the U.S., we are waiting for the amount per barrel of oil to come down, we are waiting for the water to dry up or either rain in the southern states, we are waiting for the federal government to do something. But tell me why do we rely on the federal government to fix all its people's problems? Why don't we Americans take the incentive to make our own country succeed instead of watching it decline knowingly because we are to lazy and to complacent to make any kind of change? Many of us don't know what kind of change is needed so let me explain. We need to start speaking the truth and not letting our countries principles be swept aside for any citizen or non-citizen. We need to stop relying on the government to fix our problems because this country is too big to do it all. We need to take responsibility for our own actions. We need to finish what we start. We need to stop spending money when we don't have it. We need to find our limit of all this and once we set it we don't need to raise the bar to compensate for overindulgences. When will we all start living and acting like we are the smartest being on earth? Why are we waiting for it all to end or else be saved by a miraculous miracle?

possibly

I agree, I agree, I agree.
This country is too big for it's citizins not to take a stand. All we do as a people is sit back and watch as politicians rule our lives, and have the nerve to complain about it. Bravo, well said.
