Why is Adoption such a big issue?

It's funny to me that next to the news of which celebrities are boning who, the next biggest news item is who is adopting. It's a big deal when celebrities adopt. And they usually adopt cute little babies who would not have a chance at a good life, and now will grow up in a loving family.

So what? There are so many older (4-10 year old) children in orphanages and foster homes around the world that need help. Why do we care that celebrities are adopting babies? Lots of couples want to adopt babies. But the other children need help too.

It's amazing how having and raising children has turned into being so much about the parents; what about it being about the child? Now there's a thought.

The INCREDIBLE Hauck

People in today’s society are too concerned with what everyone else is doing, rather than concentrating on more important things. Too many people live off of other people's lives because they are not happy with their own.

It's sad that for some reason these people adopting children seems to be so much more important than anyone else, but that's the way it is. Celebs live their lives in the spotlight so everything they do will be commented on and talked about.

Adoption is a great thing, children need to feel loved and have someone take care them. If someone is willing to take care of someone else’s child than that person should be looked praised not criticized.
