They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder....is that still true when everywhere we look there are pictures of thin women, beautiful women. How are we to look to men when we dont look like the cover of vogue or if our bodies aren't as trimmed as those in on the tele? What kind of examples are we setting for younger girls?I mean I was at my friends house and my friends sister *Cloe* was looking at her food funny, I thought she was sick so I felt her head, but she was fine...so I asked her what was wrong and I swear to you this is what she said"I cant eat that....I need to go on a diet" That not only surprised me but it pissed me off...I mean what kind of SEVEN year old thinks that? I talked to her sister and we all had a talk, but gosh if Cloe thought that....it means that the media is not just affecting us women its affect our girls too!Almost everything is FAKE now adays, tummy tucks, lipo, botox....really whatever happend to getting old GRACEFULLY!!Women from the 50's were NATURALLY beautiful! Now that we have all these things trying to make us prettier I mean honestly I think it makes us loook scarier! I mean who wants to have what we call a "trout pout" by the end of so many face lifts! And talk about the dangers! I mean people actually DIE wanting to become prettier! and all those televisions series like nip/tuck, and that one thats really freaking where they make you look like the hollywood star of your choice? (anyone else seen that?!?!)Im just saying that we need to stop and look back on what beauty TRULY is and go back to that cuz imagine everyone with those trout pouts i bet not alot of guys would want to wake up to that......

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

This is so true. I actually think that women/girls look better with a little meat on their bones, not overly heavy but not so thin they could blow away. This is all because of people who set the "standards" of life and make many believe they have to follow them or become unpopular and unpretty. But hopefully this phase of overly thin women will pass.
On the topic of surgeries, pills and diets, there are better natural ways of losing weight is it really bothers you. For example, a very easy one is just drink more water every day. Though it cause you to use the bathroom more (and ladies are in the bathroom anyway fixing their makeup), it can help you shed many pounds. Also, walk more. Like parking your car further in the parking lot. These may sound like simple things but they could help you lose a few love handles safely.
yeah parking your car and drinkng water is a great way too. Im not fat and I'm not thin I am very comfortable with my weight now because before I was considered annorexic not major but yeah I took pills I was there and it only made me feel worse now I am comfortable in my own skin and i try to help those women gain more confidence in themselves trying to help them believe that their ok and gorgeous even if they dont look like the cover of all the magazines. I learned the hard way and I may only be 18 but I have had experiences alot of older women might have and never will go through...and I hope they never do.
