This country use to be a free country. But day by day we are losing our defining characteristic. It use to be life,liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It seems that people have forgotten.
Freedom is defined as a noun. The state or quality of being free especially exempt or liberated from control of another person or arbitrary power. It is a right or privilage.
People today are so ready and willing to give up their freedom. I wonder if they even realize it is happening.
It is the frog in a pot scenario.
We now are a country not of freedom but control. The government decided how much money they deserve from us as the people of this country. Then they decide where that money is going to be spent. We have no say in that. Whether it funds a war or supports illegal immigrants.
We have people who want to play Robin Hood and steal from the rich to give it to the poor.
The government has decided that oil companies that had profits last year should be taxed even more so the government can take their money and give to people who will encourage cleaner power options. All in the name of an economy boost. When in fact the oil companies will have to raise the cost of gasoline to cover the cost of taxes. It is a stupid idea.
Taxes are one thing that just irks me.
I wonder how much of an economy boost we would have if everyone middle class to rich payed half of what they have to pay now?
I know that the cost of goods and services would drop. People would have more money to spend. And they would.
Oil companies could drop their prices for production if they had half of the taxes to pay. We could afford to drive to work or take a trip.
People like Obama and Hillary want to increases taxes to make all their little ideas come together. Claiming it is a benefit to all the people.
Socialism is by definition any of variaous theories or systems of the ownership and operation of the means of production and distribution by society or the community rather than by private individuals, with all members of society or the community sharing the work and the products.
According to Marxist doctrine, this is the stage between capitalist and communist.
What is a capitalism? An economic system in which all or most of the means of production and distribution are owned and operated by private individuals for profit.
Do we want to give up our right to start a business and profit from our idea?
Socialism takes that away. You can start your own business but you are only allowed to make x amount of dollars. The government steps in and says you make too much and then gives it to someone who deserves it more than you. According to the government.
Do you want that? The government will keep everyone at the same poverty level supposedly to delete class envy. But you know that the people who are part of the government won't be included in that same poverty level.
Hillary and Barack want socialism. Is that really such a good idea?

maybe the government is getting to controlling, but the thing is the PEOPLE elect them there. we all knew they would be making decisions for us. the PEOPLE have the freedom to select whoever they want in that office to make decisions for a certain collective group.
The government is getting too controlling. And the people do elect them there. However, I think people should be aware of who they are voting for. So often people think they know and find out that the person they elected didn't stand for anything they thought they did. That is how I feel about Barack and Hillary. They say one thing just for the vote but if you look at what their record is they are opposite. It is deception.
